Cats Collective is an Amsterdam based jazz collective with a love for old school jazz standards and Motown soul. Their goal is to bring quality and class back to the vocal jazz scene with original music, reliving the days of Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and Bing Crosby.

Cats Collective was founded by jazz singer and songwriter Pepijn de Wit (1991), who has been singing jazz since the age of fourteen. With his deep, warm voice he has been named the next Bublé, but his ultimate goal is to write new songs that can stand the test of time, in the tradition of Gershwin and Van Heusen.

Together with bass player and arranger Camiel Jansen and jazz guitarist Luuk Janssen, they form a unique group of young professional musicians, ready to blend the modern music scene with traditional class and craftsmanship.

‘Christmas Songs’ is the first record with original songs written by Cats Collective.

Cats Collective is een fris jong jazzcollectief uit Amsterdam. Alles draait om liefde voor old-school jazz standards en vintage soul. Hun doel is het uitbrengen van gloednieuwe songs met kwaliteit en klasse, geïnspireerd op de klassiekers van Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole en Bing Crosby.

Cats Collective is opgericht door jazz-zanger en songwriter Pepijn de Wit (1991). Sinds zijn 14e zingt hij jazz en met zijn diepe, warme stem wordt hij gezien als de volgende Bublé. Ook ligt zijn hart bij het schrijven van nieuwe songs die de tand des tijds kunnen doorstaan, in de traditie van Gershwin en Van Heusen.

Samen met zijn vrienden Camiel Jansen (bassist en arrangeur) en Luuk Janssen (jazzgitarist) voert hij Cats Collective aan. Een jonge en frisse groep professionele muzikanten die de moderne wereld van muziek willen verrijken met traditionele klasse en vakmanschap.

‘Christmas Songs’ is het eerste album met originele nummers van Cats Collective.
